trip to Egypt

Can anyone tell if they have ever done a trip to Egypt from Larnaca. Which airport would I have to fly into to visit the sites i.e Pyramids etc is it Cairo airport. Also is it safe and do you need a visa ,where would i get one ,airport on arrival , how much ?. Thankyou

Yup, you'd usually fly into Cairo Airport for the Pyramids. I know it is late to post here but I think it a worth replying. Egypt's safe for tourists, but always check the latest. You can get a visa at the airport on arrival. Costs vary, best to check beforehand. I'm into history too, and Egypt's amazing. I got hooked by the giant Kap Dwa mummy!
