Most shops sell sim cards and you pay as you go,
The two main providers are Turkcell & Tellsim, your phone need to be unlocked so they will work, the best bet is to go to the Turkcell Shop at the top of the main high street, just down from the, Beladesi offices,
The cost ranges from 10TL to 100TL but as with all mobiles it will depend what services you require
good luck

I have read if you are in TRNC for a long period you have to register your phone if using Turkcell or Telsim or it will become unusable after about 6 weeks. I also understand you can not use a foreign phone ????? but have to buy a phone in TRNC. Please could you tell me if this is correct as I need to be in touch with UK whilst here.

Thank you.
Thank you

Hi
Can anybody advise, I have applied to KIBTEK to have my Electricity bill sent to my Mobile, they have given me an ID number and sent a confirmation TXT to my UK EE mobile number.
I have not received a confirmation Txt, they did say that some uk SIM card Providers don't work.
Does anybody know which UK Mobile providers work with the KIBTEK Mobile ?
many thanks
Peter
