I'm in Bahcelli and pay £50 per month for my pool man - been good for the past 2 years but this year really let me down and pool is not currently looked after as I'd want it to be.

any suggestions for companies in this area OR if I wanted to buy chemicals where can I get them and how much?

help welcome

£50 per month is cheap. Lots of pool cleaners charge at least £60, some £70.

I agree, £50 is on the cheap side.

If you have the time why not learn how to do it yourself? I was very hesitant until a good friend of mine taught me how to clean my own pool. Its only 1/2 hrs a week in the summer and very satisfying, its not rocket science should have done it earlier. As for chemicals the companies who supply are all a much of a muchness, not a lot between them, I use Topclean on the way to the harbour, they are pretty reasonable.

do a search on here for 'offsetsan'

Or copy/paste this:

Into your address bar

Pool chemicals, prices etc.

Offsetsan supply many places, and are based in Nic, probably one of the better/cheaper sources.

My guess is that after a few years with no water change the Chlorine is probably locked "http://www.autopilot.com/blog/post/264- ... ool-Water-" . Do or get someone to do a cyanuric acid test...
