For sale - read the date!
When you want to buy something from the for sale section it would be more productive if you read the date of the last post.
someone is asking for details from 3 years ago ! good luck with that.

Re: For sale - read the date!
Even better... get the original poster to mark the subject matter as 'sold' in the thread title.... it's so easy to edit the title by the OP that I think we should sanction posters who fail to do so. By that I mean - hang them or failing that ban them...

So use the report function and let the Admin deal with it.

Yeah, admin have to put a hit on OP's who don't mark the subject Sold, Resolved, Sorted etc....Chriswright03 wrote:So use the report function and let the Admin deal with it.

Re: For sale - read the date!
I'll ask Soner whether there is any way of automatically marking items in the 'Sales' section as 'expired' unless they have had a post within, say, 8 weeks.
This would warn people that it was an old posting, and unless the seller 'refreshed' the post by 'bumping' it, then it would just 'die'...

Done. Threads in Sales are locked after 8 weeks. Not sure what happens if OP tries to Bump their thread after given time, the opportunity may be lost.
