You have heard of the Three Wise Men well Esentepe has the Three Brave Men and they are Paul Lee, Art Watson and Martin Foster.
These three men came up with the idea of having their heads or beards shaved in support of EFRAR 2018, supporting Tulips and they have decided to do this in support of all cancer patients who undergo chemotherapy and lose their hair. These cancer patients have no choice so the men want to dedicate this shave to all of them.
The “Brave Shave” will take place at the end of the Abnormals’ Christmas Show on Friday 29th December at The Venue Restaurant in Turtle Bay near Esentepe and all three men are looking for sponsorship.
Mary Watson, Chair of the EFRAR 2018 supporting Tulips committee commented: “I think this is a great idea but I am not sure how my husband (Art Watson) will look with no hair but as it’s for Tulips and his hair will grow back, I fully support him and the other two brave men”

The Abnormals ‘Let’s Go Back in Time’ Show, incorporating the Brave Shave raised an impressive TL3409 for Tulips Help Those With Cancer.
The show, hosted by Miss Santa (Annette McKloskey) and Happy Elf (Mary Watson) was set in Santa’s Grotto at The Venue near Esentepe.
Playing to a packed house, a lot of famous people stopped by to wish the crowd a Merry Christmas. There was Elvis Presley (Martin Ford), Madam Fayth (Martin Foster), Lenny John (Dave Lavender), Marilyn Monroe (Kate Bell) along with the HeeBee GeeBees, The SpiceShells, Leo Say-So and Stevie and Paul.

The ticket and raffle sales raised TL1,290 and there was also a significant amount of money collected in the Tulips’ box. The Abnormals collect money at all their shows and EFRAR were presented with an almost full box which will raise even more money for Tulips. The 3 Brave Shaves, Paul Lee, Art Watson and Martin Foster which was a great success and really appreciated by the audience have, so far, through sponsorship and collections, raised TL2119. This was dedicated to all those going through chemotherapy who have no choice but to lose their hair.

Mary Watson, Chair of EFRAR 2018 commented: “Once again The Abnormals are raising money for Tulips and on this occasion for Ziyamet Special Needs School. We are so grateful to them all for all they do. The three Brave Shave participants warrant special mention as they have raised over TL2,000 for Tulips. A great effort all round.”

The Christmas presents which were scattered around the Grotto have gone to Ziyamet Special Needs School, along with TL1800 which has been collected by Susie Ford through her ongoing Quizzes.
