Somebody in our village has got one of these and it looks so lovely. They had it as a present and don't know where it was bought.

Has anybody seen one in a garden centre??

My feeling is that you're right about this...

I've had a couple of small ones in pots for Christmas, and they both struggled on for a couple of years or so outside before giving up the ghost!

The one in your photo looks to be a much more sturdy, vigorous plant.

You could always ask for a cutting!

Why not go to a big garden centre like Eminaga and ask. My motto is" if you don't ask you don't get!!"take the photo with you, good luck. had one planted years ago by the gardener when the house was first built. Lasted 10 years then gave up the ghost. Also grew to about 10ft!
