Cutting down trees

Do you require permission to cut down trees in your garden?

Yes, depending on the type of tree. Olives, definitely need permission and I'm pretty sure Pine too. Not sure where you would get a definitive answer, maybe the forestry commission?

Sorry to be a killjoy but it's not a good idea to be cutting any trees down at the moment given the massive recent loss due to the fire near Kalkanli. Are they really that much of a problem?
