Friends and I went this morning as we have a few times before to sit at the pool bar area and have coffee. We were stopped by security and told we had to go to reception and pay 100tl for access. Apparently its a new policy we explained that we only wanted coffee we did not want to use the pool or beach or anything else but no go. We left never to return!

Absolutely amazed to be told that this morning. We were all dressed in smart clothes with small handbags. No beach gear in sight. Guess people may have been slipping in to use the facilities without paying, but we couldn't even get to the coffee shop at the bottom of the escalator.
Shame it was a nice venue for coffee. Elexus's loss, Acapulco's gain!

In answer to Panchocat. If I owned a Hotel and a gaggle of young men walked in carrying small handbags, I would show them the door no matter how smart they looked.

The stench of bent money is all pervading.... the stink of the sewage treatment plant by the main road can't disguise it.
