Insurance company promised pro-rata refund but failed to deliver
As we sold our house our insurance company said we would get a pro-rata refund if the policy had been in place for no more than 9 months. I confirmed completion within the 9 months and after having chased several times since then, it has taken them a month to say that as the policy was in force for "almost" 9 months, the admin fees mean there is no refund due. Not very good service and won't be using them again. PM me if anyone wants further details.

That's a bit 'sneaky'!
- not mentioning 'admin fees' or how much they were beforehand.
It sounds as though 'admin fees' were about the same as 3 months insurance....
Please pm or email me with the company name so that I know to avoid them!
