Which banks allow the withdrawal of sterling from ATM`s? I have read that Credit West surprisingly do not.
Thanks.

HSBC definitely, but I think most banks will charge unless you are their customer.

Hi
Not sure if you mean withdrawals from an account with a bank here in N Cyprus or with one from UK.
I can say that when I have taken sterling from my UK accounts at any of the ATM's here in N Cyprus that provide varying currencies, I have not been charged by my UK bank.
I usually use the ATM next to Mr Pound or HSBC.

Thanks for your replies, I should have been more specific. I will be opening a current account when visiting in a couple of weeks and from your replies it seems to be Garanti or TEB that allow withdrawals in sterling from their ATM`s, I had considered an Expat account with Creditwest but they do not offer the sterling cashpoint option. I will retain a UK current account probably with Metro Bank who do not charge for withdrawals abroad.
