The recent commission charges implemented by the Garanti Bank and others beforehand has led to only the TEB Bank being available for Nationwide card holders to withdraw up to £500.00 per day free of commission. Great !

BUT... there is a limit in place per calendar month of TL12,000.00 ! ...or £1,700.00 approx'.

So the £500.00 per day limit is restricted to the monthly limit for non commission withdrawls, so budget accordingly! If you reach the limit then you have to wait until the 1st of the following month to get any money again unless you use another bank and pay the commission.

So this is the limit set and the reason many have had problems upon reaching the limit now imposed.

I got this information after Seran from TEB Bank in Girne mailed TEB in Turkey for an answer as to the reason why cards were not 'working' as such.

What's so special about Nationwide then - Have often wondered why the appear to have benefits that other banks don't seem to have negotiated.

Is some of this business, the fact they just don't want to drive around filling up ATM machines, rather than having a more sinister motive. Just a thought.

Nationwide don't charge if you take sterling out, but then again, we haven't been charge by Barclays either. xx

You are right this should be left on the main board rather than being transferred to the other section !!!

If you view Active Topics each time you look in it matters not which section it is in while people are posting in it. Once they stop a search would find it anyway wherever it was.
