My husband receives his pensions into NatWest bank's debit card. And every time he withdraws money from the card he loses 5 pounds ( bank's fee).
Are there any ways of receiving money from the UK and pay less?

Re: How can we pay less?
I gave up on Nat West when I moved to Cyprus. I opened a UK HSBC account and my pensions are paid into that. I use my HSBC debit card to withdraw gsterling from TEB machines {no charge} then change into Lira at any exchange place {usually Monex in Girne}. No costs to us at all.
good luck with Nat West worse bank I have ever used.

As I got older I congratulated myself on my tolerance..... Now I realise I just don't give a "ooops"

Withdrawing sterling abroad is not free for all HSBC accounts (only Premier I believe). I am charged 2% per transaction to a maximum of £5 on my UK account.mickhm wrote:I gave up on Nat West when I moved to Cyprus. I opened a UK HSBC account and my pensions are paid into that.
