Best interest rates

Hi ....having just returned for first time n a long while.....I found interest rate in Garanti bank now at 8%.
Any advise on which bank are giving best rates now......sorry if I’m repeating a previous message

All banks have reduced in line with central bank in turkey, had the benefit of extremely high rates for a while, now getting back to normal. You should not, necessarily just go for the highest rate, but the more established and longest running banks, maybe even more relevant now with the impact, economically and financially, of the fallout from Coronavirus. Just my opinion of course.

I'd be very surprised if you've been getting that since mid December.
The base rate was reduced to 12% on the 13th December, 11.25% on 17th January and 10.75% on 20th February.

I check it about a month ago so who knows . Its worth checking

From 17th March Turkey Central Bank has reduced rates by a further 1% so now its at 9.75 %

Tax on interest now gone up to 15% on TL because of situation
