Airport transfers Istanbul

Has anyone used the airport shuttle service from Sabiha Gökcen Airport to Sultanahmet?

My sister has a couple of times. Takes a couple of hours so could be quicker than car as traffic is terrible. You buy a ticket from the cabin outside the airport which you will need for Istanbul anyway, there is a deposit on the ticket which is returnable.. Go out of the airport over the zebra crossing the cabin is slightly on the right and the buses come in on the left. You want the E10 stay on the bus until you reach Kadikoy bus station and port. It will takes about an hour and a half but is very cheap, just flash the card to get in. Put 20 tl on the card. Get the ferry to eminonu, then you get off and you go on the tram system you want direction bahcelievler which takes you to sultanhamet. It is by all accounts y.a very nice way to get in. The time on the bus seems long but is much better than sitting in the traffic. The really cost we think is about 7.5tl. For the whole journey so a lot less than taxi and arriving by ferry is very nice. You would not want to be carrying too much luggage though. Do not let it phase you everyone will guide you.

I got the shuttle bus to Taksim and then took a taxi from there.......easier than the ferry if you have luggage.
