Has anyone (recently ) hired a car in U K using their TRNC driving licence ?

Yes, in February and a number of times before that. If you don't live in uk then it is illegal to use your uk licence, therefore you would not be insured if you had an accident.

Yes used TRNC licence many times with no problem. This is where we live so no country should question why you are showing them a TRNC driving licence.
