A cheap and very reliable method of watching UK TV or any TV plus your favourite radio stations is to do the following

If you have an IPAD or Iphone download the applications for BBC Iplayer ITV player, TV catchup, Film on TV, tune in radio and as long as you have a VPN you can watch and listen to pretty much anything. You can connect to any TV via HDMI cable from your Iphone or Ipad (using the ready available adaptor) or if you dont want cables pay about 90 pounds or $90 depending where you buy it) for an Apple TV (not actually a TV by the way but simply a small box you plug into the back of your TV) Please note that depending upon which Apple TV you purchase you may need to Jailbreak it. You can then get 100's of TV programmes via apple.

Been using it for a while now and it is excellent as long as you have a good Download speed >5mb I suggest
