Tv reception is very bad

We use a mag50 box to watch Ntv. Over the last week or so, the reception in the evening is terrible. It frequently buffers. We have another box which we can watch Filmon on, this is fine. Is anyone else having buffering problems with Ntv. As the second box is not buffering I am assuming it's not an internet problem, although I could be wrong!

Yes same trouble here with Mag box and NTV. We have been watching stuff on catch-up on NTV in the evenings as that seems marginally better then the 'live' programmes but certainly not good. I watch through Kodi on my lap-top and that is fine so I don't think it is an internet problem.

Thanks for your reply. We do the same with catch up in the evening and as you say this is much better.

This is not for me as I use an alternative system.
An elderly friend came today and said he has not been able to get NTV via MM for the last three days.
Has anyone else had this problem?

As before Lodger. The reception varies but it is very very poor in the evenings. Last evening even catch-up was almost unwatchable. I am pretty sure it is not the internet as I can watch via kodi on my laptop with no problem. I'm not with MM internet.....I'm with Extend.

We're with NTV, MAG254, MM Internet.
We watch catch up and live TV.
No noticeable problems lately.
NTV has started recently to drop during catch up though.
Since last system update.

It is very strange isn't it? We all seem to be having different experiences with it. Some no problems at all. Some with intermittent trouble and some with no service at all it seems. There surely has to be a common factor somewhere.

I have NTV via a mag250 box with Multimax as my internet provider and have not had any problems with live tv lately. Is your mag box running on the latest software? might be worth doing an update, simple instructions to do this can be found on youtube.

Thank you, I had not thought about an update.
I'm sure he hasn't done this as he is an elderly guy and I'm sure he wouldn't have thought of it.
