Advise needed for solving why I can only get horizontal channels and not vertical ones on satellite tv.

The satellite receiver tells the LNB to switch polarities H to V and back as required...
So either the receiver isn't signalling as it should, or the LNB isn't responding.
Either one could be faulty, or perhaps you've somehow set the receiver to only 'see' horizontal channels.
However, before you do anything else, disconnect the mains supply from the receiver for a minute, then reconnect and try it again.
If that doesn't work, then a 'Factory reset' might do the trick, if all of the settings seem to be correct, but if you don't really know much about the subject, then you might be better off calling an expert in to have a look at it.
Satellite Cyprus are pretty good, but there are plenty of others, just look in the 'Tv and satellite' section for recommendations...

Re: Only Horizontal channels on satellite tv
is there any possibility that already having a multiswitch?
you can check the lnb type, it should be universal lnb selected and 10750 - 9600 frequencies should be selected on satellite setting.
If you can write the exact model of you receiver it may helps to find easier solution.
