BBC iPlayer on firestick problem

I have a NordVPN and am trying to watch bbc iPlayer on my tv using a firestick.
When I get to watch program it comes up Having problems watching please try again .
I’ve uninstalled the app and re installed it but still the same message. I plays fine on my iPad.
Am I doing something wrong? Doing my head in now !

If you do not have a Smart TV, you will need another TV Streaming device for example an Amazon Firestick or Set-top box to get standard channel UK apps example BBC Iplayer, ITV or Channel 4

I have used NORD VPN for a while without problems, but it has been playing up recently. May have to try Smart DNS.

I have Amazon Firestick in place and installed bbc iPlayer and itv hub but both say there is a problem and try again.
I don’t get the your not in the U.K. message .As I see others are able to get iPlayer here with NordVPN it must be something I’m getting wrong but no idea what! Thanks again

Checking network connection on firestick and it’s says multimax but should it be NordVPN??

IPlayer doesn’t work on my fire stick either. All other channel catch up services do.

The joys of watching TV through a VPN eh! I can watch iPlayer live on my iPad, download it on my iMac and not watch it at all on my Firestick.

Signed up for Nord Vpn for the express purpose of watching iPlayer or itv hub on the tv but had no joy so eventually gave up and just watched on iPad. Back in the U.K. now so it’s not a problem now until we return. Might have to get someone in next time and see if it’s something I’m doing wrong
