I subscribe to http://www.streamvia.com £4.99 a month and I can watch BBC & ITV on all devices including via the Apps on my Smart TV. Brilliant!

Re: bbc and itv
It probably needs resetting their support line is very good & will sort it for you instantly if you send a message - from memory you just refresh the ISP setting

Have you tried http://www.easyview.eu? No VPN needed!

The links on that page are 'not good' - the bbc1 for example opened multiple dodgy pages and encouraged me to download and run an .exe file that avg identified as virus ridden.jofra wrote:Have you tried http://www.easyview.eu? No VPN needed!

Re: bbc and itv
If your machine was set up to use streamvia's smartstream service and your other halfs was not, that could cause the symptoms you describe.caz11 wrote:the problem i have is not with a vpn, the page for bbc and itv does not load at all. my other half's pc works fine on both.
You need to 'renew' the 'link' between your internet connection and your streamvia smartstream service. You can do that by clicking on this link (from any device that is connected to your internet connection)
https://smartstream.streamvia.com
This will ask you to log in using your streamvia login in details. Please note you need to use your 'vpn password' here not your 'client login password'. They will not be the same unless you reset the vpn login in yourself. You can find your vpn password from the client area and to log in to that you use your client area password and if you can not rember that then you can reset it.
Once you log in to the link above correctly you should then get a message
"StreamVia SmartStream has been enabled for your current Internet connection;"
Once this is done it should all work again.

Re: bbc and itv
Streamvia STOPS working every 90 days, unless you log in to STREAMVIA, not BBC etc.
Therefore everything works APART from BBC etc.
Please follow more than half the comments here, they are ALL now saying the same thing.
Good luck.
Sorry Erol. Our posts were submitted very close to each other, but yours scored 100% for diplomacy, I would give mine no more than 10%!

Re: bbc and itv
Strange - for me, now and over the couple of years I've been using it, each icon opens the relevant channel and nothing else; no requests or "encouragements" to download have ever appeared! (And my antivirus has never objected although it has (so far) detected and removed several problems over the years.)erol wrote: The links on that page are 'not good' - the bbc1 for example opened multiple dodgy pages and encouraged me to download and run an .exe file that avg identified as virus ridden.
