Edit Apple TV 4K. New info Black Friday Firestick 4K deal
Asking for friend, who is considering buying one, but it's an expensive purchase if it doesn't work here. They do have VPN/Smart DNS service.

It does work here absolutely no problems . Choice of media player is down to the individual. Apple unfortunately doesn’t allow you to side load certain non Apple approved applications unless jail broken Howevr Amazon Fire Stick most certainly does

Thanks Bert, good to know. The Apple one would have been ideal, but very expensive compared to the Firestick 4K, which will most likely be reduced over the Black Friday period. If they don't get on with it, they can sell it and then go back to plan A.

Just a heads up for people, if you order an amazon firestick 4K though Alexa at the moment, you get it for £29.00, a £20 discount.
It’s part of the pre Black Friday sales and is on for 3 days.

Thanks Trigger, have alerted my friend to that, in the hope that it reduces in price for those without Alexa come Friday.
Have edited title for anyone interested in Fire Stick's attention.

Now available for £29.99 without Alexa. Mind you, Alexa is a free app available on any device.alphamike wrote:Thanks Trigger, have alerted my friend to that, in the hope that it reduces in price for those without Alexa come Friday.

Just noticed that the amazon echo dot is down to £22 this weekend too. That’s a discount of 56%. Well worth it if people are back in the UK any time soon.

I can now turn my lights on using Alexa or my mobile phone and watch it from the other side of the world.
