Lost the signal from Firestick - any ideas ?
Hi
Our Firestick was working fine until the other day when we lost the signal. The FS is not being recognised by the TV /HDMI - we have unplugged it and tried it in the other HDMI port - same thing. Put new batteries in the handset - no difference.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve the problem please ?
This is what the TV is showing with the FS plugged into the HDMI port. Thanks

Try pointing the monitor at the screen, press the home button, the house symbol for no longer than a minute, it worked for me.,

A friend of mine had the same problem, it turned out to be his VPN. He entered the VPN web site to refresh, hey presto, working again. He was using Sreamvia. May not be the same for you, but worth trying.

Had a similar problem, was using a ethernet adapter that I bought with the F.S. , unplugged that and tried it wirelessly, problem solved!

Try connecting something else to the TV using HDMI - a dvd player or a laptop perhaps.
If that works ok then the firestick is faulty, if it doesn't work, then the TV is faulty.

Try letting us know if any of the suggestions have worked.

Thanks for all your responses. The problem is the Firestick itself - we tried the suggestions and still nothing worked. So we then borrowed a friends Firestick - plugged it into the same port on our TV and Voila - it worked fine.
It seems that the power to our stick is faulty and hence it will not power on.
Need to buy another !
Thanks anyway

Is it still under warranty? Not sure how long the warranty is and I know how time flies here but worth checking. Also have you googled the fault? Maybe there is something out there that will be a similar problem with a cure. Is the firestick just plugged into the port for it's power or does it have a power cable supply?

Could it be the power supply/charger, try another power adapter/charger
