Samsung Galaxy Note 2 - Sorted :-)
Hi Folks,
My Galaxy Note Ii GT-N7100 has served me well, until tonight.
App 3 years old.
I was watching the tennis, on the Note II, while sitting out doors.
Then it switched itself off, it only flashes up the logo,
Samsung GALAXY Note II GT-N7100
The battery is OK, but phone does not show any sign of charging,
when connected to a charger, no red charging light indicator.
My wife has the same phone, swapped the batteries over,
my battery works & charges in her phone.
Her battery in my phone shows the same fault.
The phone has never been in the sun, dropped, bumped or had water near it.
It just stopped.
Anyone had this problem with their phone.
If so, was it repairable?
It's out of warranty.
Girne is handy for repairs.
Thanks.
Navek

Hi, I haven't had that issue but I found the link above that might get you out of the LOGO screen.
The downside is that unless you've backed up your data previously, you may have to start from scratch...

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 - Problem
Hi Keithcaley,
Thanks for your help, tried all that last night, no joy.
Not too worried about data, as I've set up my wife's phone identically.
Just copy all I need from it.
All photo's/videos backed up to PC frequently too
Looks like a trip down Mobile Alley in Girne.
Any recommendations for Smart Phone repairs, anyone?
For a phone that's not so Smart?

Hi Navek,
Do you know who actually did the repair? - I mean, did you just leave the 'phone at one of the shops, or did you visit the repair workshop itself?

Hi Keithcaley,
Left the phone with Urma İletişim, ("Mobile Alley" Girne) Saturday.
Picked it up Sunday, same place.
This is where the phone was purchased,
that's the reason I went there.
Did not ask where it was repaired.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 - Sorted :-)
Thanks for that Navek, I was once directed to a small workshop, perhaps 3/4 of the way down the street, on the right hand side as you head towards the sea.
My recollection is that you had to go down a space between buildings, then around the back, and up some external stairs - but I've never managed to find it since, hence my interest.
At the time, I gained the impression that most - or even all - of the 'phone shops down the street used the same repairer, but this was some years ago!

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 - Sorted :-)
Hi Keithcaley,
When I handed the phone in, early afternoon,
they did say "call back after 6 pm,Saturday"
When I called back,
they told me it was an on/off button fault.
And could not be repaired until Sunday.
So could've been repaired on the premises.
24 hour service is good enough for me

All good to know, I just hope that I don't ever need to use the service
Thanks for your patience!
