Can anyone advise the best place to buy a mobile phone, either new or nearly new. I have looked at some of the phone shops in town and have seen a couple of second hand ones but at 2800 tl how can I tell if the phone is genuine?

If it's an iPhone while in the shop connect to iTunes and try and see if apps are up to date. There was an iPhone 6 on here last month for £120 I think.

Please let me know how you get on Judy, my wife needs a replacement phone. An old Samsung mini would be ideal. We've brought in and paid the tax before but want to try a local phone. You can pm me or call on 0533 8463507.

I bought a brand new Samsung mini in Turcell for 200tl she does not like the intricate phones not worth getting a second hand on of those there are a few on face book sales

Laconic sold me a new Samsung basic phone, just phone calls, radio and flash light with tax paid and a SIM card for 120 lira but that was two years ago, so may have gone up a bit since then.

We bought a secondhand Samsung in Girne, bigger than a mini but still quite manageable for 350 TL. It holds a long charge and works really well so we are happy.
