I have always found a warm welcome, tasty food at Happy Valley but I could never praise the lavatories and always wishing the area was a little more welcoming.

Well yesterday delighted to hear and then see new toilets have been installed, ones which flush, don't leak and sparkling white.

Thank you for listening Riaz , it is appreciated.

Rias. Sorry to hear of your problems. Please turn it to your advantage. Do what no other restaurant in North Cyprus does - allow customers to bring their own alcoholic drinks to enjoy with their meal. It’s commonplace in the U.K. at Pakistani and Bangladeshi restaurants. Good luck.

Well done Happy Valley, alcohol kills more people than all the other drugs in the world (heroin, cocaine, etc,) put together, apart from good old nicotine which is the undisputed number one.

I apologise to those of you who just like the odd drink with your meal

As a non drinker I would welcome a restaurant where the bar and assistants were not usually completely obscured by the large number of large men who seem to be needed to stop the structure from collapsing.

However I suspect that most establishments make more money from alcoholic drinks than food and Deniz is probably, sadly, right

However I have not always been tt (is is because of prescribed medication I take) and do appreciate that a good meal can be made even better by a decent glass of wine. Would the Old Dogs suggestion be in accordance with TRNC legislation. Also could you makea feature of different soft drinks. Non drinkers , including designated drivers, do get fed up with the same old canned stuff. Home made milk shakes and cocktails of fresh fruit drinks could be an attraction in this weather, with a range of coffeee,, teas and milky drinks for winter.

Whatever goood luck to you Riaz and I hope there are still sufficient sensible people here to realise that you food alone is worth a visit. I only wish I were able to visit more often

I echo that, unfortunately we live in Karsiyaka which seemed quite close to Girne 14 years ago but now seems miles away. I hope people understand what I mean. Good luck anyway.

excellent news, at least now one can drink the wine they like and if they don't its their fault and the really good news is if you don't know of the situation an off licence is only across the road.

Can his nibs bring his Carlsberg while we wait for our takeaway, after all it was either a 1 beer or 2 in the old days

Great to see cars outside last night

A good choice of European food plus some lovely curries, all freshly prepared and cooked.

Add to this great service and reasonable prices, plus bring your own alcohol.

This works really well, food is still excellent, there is a decent off licence next door selling Budwier, wine and good selection of beers.
On top of that there is a massive difference in price between bring your own and paying restaurant alcohol prices.
