Is there anywhere that does fine dining or similar? Have been to Bellapais Gardens many times and would like to try somewhere different. Preferably European style, French, Italian and are open at this time of year?

St Tropez is one of our absolute favourites. The crepes suzette, cooked fresh by the owner, are fabulous. Excellent food, and for what it offers, not too expensive. Efendis is also a favourite of ours. We love Bellapais gardens too, but good to have a change. Unfortunately, not too many of the fine dining class restaurants over here....

I agree with the posters recommendations thus far but would add Grida Balic to the list.It is a fish restaurant where I have eaten many times over the last few years. The quality of the food, it's preparation and presentation puts it firmly in the fine dining bracket.Add the elegant and discreet service and one has a meal to delight. I am not that fond of fish but always find something I really enjoy.Nothing is too much trouble and full descriptions of the dishes and cooking are willingly given.

Kaya Palazzo has an Italian, haven't tried it yet though. Also I believe the Dragon Chinese is there, always found that to be good when it was by Lemar in Karakum.

The Italian in the Merit Royal is very good, or was last time I went.

If you like Chinese food or Sushi the Chinese House is excellent, It is a beautifully decorated warm restaurant which is an important consideration in this weather. It is usually quite busy so has a good ambiance. They will play Happy Birthday & bring fried ice cream with a candle in. Excellent service too we have our birthday meals there or Efendi.

We love Cafe de Liman in Girne, fine dining for us.

Last year we went for Christmas at the Merit Royal and had an excellent dinner at the Chinese there, will go again!
