North Cyprus visa extension necessary ??

Hi there,
We were told by Immigration at Ercan recently (decided to check), that even though our N.Cyprus visa expires very soon, no need to get another month stamp (we leave in a month's time ) as we are clearly leaving...... and being over 60, they say we don't need it ??
Can anyone confirm whether this is so ....
as we would hate to get to Ercan and be penalised for a whole month by someone who says this this is not so.
Any comments ?

Why don't you just walk across to the other side side and get another 90 days? If you are over 60 there will be no problem and it will give you peace of mind, I suspect it is unnecessary, as you say you were advised, but since you didn't believe whoever told you, who are you going to believe now?
