The tax office is behind the Girne state hospital (where you pay MOT etc),

when you enter the building , the office is on the ground floor to the left.

Go straight and you will see the sigh RENT , there is one guy who speak good English there.

He will help you to fill the form, then you have to pay (it is a different window and usually there is a line), the monthly tax is 10%.

Thanks Brianc.
I understood 10% Tax monthly if you rent the property for a long term eg one year.
How does it work if you renting only for the holiday let.?
Looking forward to hear from you.

Thanks again.

It is still 10% of the rental fee. The form enables you to enter multiple bookings so if, for example, you rented your property for 2 x 2 weeks in August you enter the gross amount charged for each booking. The gentleman at the counter then calculates the total tax due and you go to another counter to pay. You need to pay the tax for August by 15th September. The 15th of the month tends to be very busy so it is best to go a couple of days before.
