Re: house deposit
Under the circumstances I think a little leeway would be helpful.turtle wrote:I sympathize with your plight but arn't deposits non-refundable ?

I really feel sorry for you Carlee re deposit, where is a bit of human kindness, never mind able refundable etc. After all you have had to put up with I often wonder whether people (some) have no conscience. I wish you better luck in future.

Re: house deposit
Was the deposit with the seller or with an estate agent. when we bought in 2008, the agents made it clear that the deposit was no-refundable unless the seller pulled out, If the buyer pulls out then the deposit is used to compensate the estate agent for buyers wasting there time.
So the question is who is refusing to return the deposit?

Re: house deposit
no the agreement is that if the buyer cannot complete on the purchase bcos of circumstances beyond there control the deposit is refundable but this woman fought tooth and nail to get all the deposit but hey-ho karma will win,and thanks to those of you who wish us well,we have lost everything but we have each other,
