Can anyone please give me a rough idea of the Advocate's costs to sell our villa before I contact one? Is it different if it's a local or foreigner?

Locals don't bother to use an Avukat for selling houses - it's strictly an Ex-Pat phenomenon, driven by memories of the UK, where 'Proper Solicitors' do conveyancing, accept 'Duty of Care', and, with any luck, do a Proper Job
Locals know the procedures, and simply get a contract drawn up by a 'Noter' (more correctly: 'Certifying Officer') and then go along to the Land Registry & do the transfer themselves, whereas Ex-Pats are at a disadvatage, in not knowing how it all works, and not speaking the language, and imagine that an Avukat will look after them.
They couldn't be more wrong, of course!
Avukats will charge anywhere from £1,000 to £2,000 for doing practically nothing - very often they send a clerk to do all the work - and provided that there are no complications, and the Vendor/Buyer (as the case may be) isn't trying to cheat you, (and in the case of a Vendor, hasn't mortgaged the property up to the hilt), you may actually have a trouble-free experience.
However, if there are any complications, then the likelehood is that the Avukat won't spot them, and if he/she does spot them, will prove to be totally incompetent to solve them and/or demand lots more money!
If you do decide to use an Avukat to handle your transaction, make sure that you hire one from another area altogether, or else they will probably have too cosy a relationship with the other party, and be reluctant to spoil that relationship for the sake of looking after you.

One other point that someone made recently, if you are selling then your only concern is getting the cash. Once you've received the cash, you can give power of attourney to the purchaser & he can complete the transaction - you really have no reason to be interested in what happens thereafter!
