Residency for single woman.

Went today with my partner to get residency for her.
She was refused as she was told she can only apply if we are married.
She has a full set of documents including a bank statement with a considerable sum of money in it, and a copy of our tenancy agreement with both our names on it.
Can this be right?

I know of quite a few people who go for residency and are not married and living together, so have no idea why your girlfriend was refused. Can't help with the rules, but I think it might be an idea to see the Director (or whatever he is called) at Immigration.

We had friends who were told
have a baby! similar age but different nationalities
another he was too young! given 6 months residency in the temp continiously
and finally she was too young as her partner was older

A letter from a noter may assist you stating that you live together and you also can support her. (joint bank account)
Last year I had to get a letter from the muhtar to state we lived together and a letter from Unsal (noter) stating i was responsible for my husband. Our marriage certificate was declared 'no good' as i now have a beyaz kimlik!!

We now have permission to apply for residency for our single lady friend.
She has all the documents she needs. Does she also need ins-outs?
