? HEALTH INSURANCE TO GET OVER SIXTIES RESIDENCY

I have just read on Facebook under North Cyprus expats group, that when you go to pick up your residency in Lefkosa they are stating you have to have private medical Insurance, or one for the state hospital. To date I have heard nothing in regard to this, can anyone clarify if this in correct???
