Re: Dog walking on Horseshoe Bay Beach, Karsiyaka
Walking of dogs on the beaches in the summer is "legally" a no no!! Im not saying that people dont do it, they do, but it is in fact not allowed! Winter - ok! Most public, or beaches used by the public have notices up somewhere giving the dates when walking is allowed, unless someone has taken them down to use for something else!! There definitely was one on the main Karsiyaka beach, and at Lapta at one time, probably gone now! I would have thought Horseshoe Bay, as being a popular "people" beach would keep to the rules??

Re: Dog walking on Horseshoe Bay Beach, Karsiyaka
I thought Karsiyaka beach which has a Lapta Belediye notice was to protect the turtles. so what is being said is that I can't go to any beach with my dog! Is this true? And if so, why? If my dog did anything not permitted, I have a tissue and a bag, and that is what happens in normal places, is it not.
But I certainly know on the Karpaz I can take my dog - no notices, no reprimands and in fact in some places the owners of the hotels etc, have their own dogs! It all seems a bit of a muddle.
