Re: Cool mats for dogs
I bought one for mine and it lasted ten minutes before it was chewed. it seems to me that if you have a thick towel or similar, wet it through, fridge it until cold and put it down for the dog to lay on, it will do the same, a lot cheaper and may last longer. Otherwise I have a paddling pool for them to cool off in and fans on the patio. Hope this may be of some help.

I bought in jumbo last week £10 fairly decent size but would never leave the dog alone with it I’m sure you will have read that the content if they chew it and ingest it can be fatal

It sounds as though a thick wet towel is to be preferred then!Loobyloo wrote:I bought in jumbo last week £10 fairly decent size but would never leave the dog alone with it I’m sure you will have read that the content if they chew it and ingest it can be fatal

As Loobyloo says, never leave a dog alone with one of these. The contents contain anti freeze which kills......

Went to Comfy but sorry wasn’t going to pay over £50 for one!!! Shame that. My dog has been on one for years, never chewed it, I just wanted another one as the other has probably outlived it’s use. Unfortunately I can’t get to Jumbo or I would, like Deniz1 says wet towels don’t work on my dog unfortunately. But thank you to all kibkomers for their input.

Recently went to a Vets, but can't remember which, either Garfield or NorthCoast in Alsancak and one or the other had then. Check out the contents before your buy though. Have tried the cold wet towel. After 5 minutes said animal dragged it away and then went on plonked himself where he prefers to lay in the winter!!
