Immigration office certificate for shipping

I went with my friend to the police station in girne to get a list of their arrivals and departures which they needed some time ago.
But I am being told to go to Lefkosa for the same thing for us to ship goods over. Can anyone tell me if they got this from the police station instead in Girne for their shipping paperwork and if it was acceptable? Thanks. Also. What times can you go to do this
