Hello Everybody,

I have air freighted a large box with my personal possessions into Ercan.
I have never dealt with the Customs people there and do not speak Turkish.

It is due to arrive today (01 December).

Is there a friendly service provider who can collect the box and deliver it for me?

Kind regards,

Steve.

We collected our goods ourselves from the airport. When we arrived at the cargo centre the guys at the office found someone who speaks english. then we had to fill out customs forms. Then we had to pay handling charges. Then we had to have the packages checked. Then onto the big bosses office. He checked the paperwirk and luckily for us NO charges. Then we collected our 12 packages put them in the car and left. So give it a go. We were in and out in 45 mins.

"Warhorse''

.......Just for information. Yes much the same time, there were a few people there who spoke English. .
Handling charges and also tax had to be paid (I had a 15 year old car power washer and a one year old television which were both taxable).

Sid447 - It might be helpful to others if you could tell us how much duty on each item...
