Denzil & Demelza are two of Jethro's favourite characters.

Denzil was cycling into Penzance one morning when he saw Demelza waiting at the bus stop. After greetings were exchanged Demelza complained that her bus was late again.

'I'll give ee a lift if you want to jump on the bike' said Denzil, Demelza was happy to accept.

Arriving in town Demelza thanked him for a lovely ride then she giggled and said 'I got a little secret'

'Oh what's that then ?' said Denzil

'I ain't got no knickers on' she said.

Denzil responded 'I got a little secret too - this bike ain't got no crossbar'.

Jethro was surprised to see Denzil on the street in Penzance one afternoon.

'How come you'm not working today this being peak harvesting time an all?' he asked Denzil

'There has been a terrible accident' said Denzil ' my Father fell from the Combine and it cut his head off.
I put the head in a carrier bag and rushed to hospital but they told me that he had stopped breathing.....and
....to make matters worse my brother has just phoned me to tell me that his father has died today too'
