Just wondered if anyone can offer advice on this problem. Every time I Hoover the pool the dust comes straight back in through the inlets, any ideas as to what may be causing this.
Thanks in advance

Re: Advice needed please
It sounds as though the sand in your filter has either got depleted or hardened by limescale etc - whichever it is, I think that you need to have all of the old sand taken out, and new sand installed.

Re: Advice needed please
CDS tips on pools:
There are several possibilities that can lead to dirt returning through inlet lines but for sure the most common cause is the need for a sand change in your pool filter. To be sure, next time you vacuum the pool, make sure you do a long backwash continuing to use the vacuum point as the water feed, then also do a long rinse before switching back to filter. If you still get dirt return then it will most likely be the sand or a filter problem.
Other things to remember:
If your pool is very dirty, always vac to waste
When changing filter sand, protect the laterals. Damaged laterals will deplete your sand
Clean your filter regularly and keep an eye on your pressure gauge
