Does anyone know if the government had given any guidance to pool maintenance contractors prior to 6th April and/or beyond?

District office not police issue the permission to travel
Obviously you have to show them why you have to travel, legal companies have proper paperwork.

My pool cleaner turned up today but said he had to apply for a one day permit. Don't know when we'll see him again.

The longer this situation goes on. The Government should issue some news about the maintenance of the pools out here. There will be many pools that do not get any maintenance, pools that are normally looked after by ' friends ' who will now not be able to do this. We could have a huge mosquito problem in a couple of months caused by pools being left unserviced. There is also the huge waste of water due to evaporation in pools that are being cleaned but not being used. I seem to remember reading somewhere that some councils were going to drain pools that they thought were not being cleaned. Does anyone know if there are any official guidelines on this ?

Legal pool companies can apply for permissions, and most have . The illegal and mate rates guys have no chance . Best get yourself a legal company. (:())

As long as pools get dosed with chlorine they will pose no threat to health... mossies do not breed successfully in chlorinated water... if you have no chlorine, an eggcup of lamp oil or paraffin will create a surface barrier that prevents mosquito larvae from breathing.

Any further updates?
Referring to ‘legit companies only’ I hear some customers getting no service, some limited partial service.
