175 Wp.. seems that these panels have been in use for some years...

If YOU tell us now how many years and which panel model it is..
...then WE will tell you how much the output is reduced already, due to use (and heat)... and then we can calculate the "real Wp" price...

You always knock my products kipsolar . This only makes you look bad, I never go on your adverts and try and put people off them . Seems you scared of competition

Used panels like these are widely available in the UK.

Unfortunately they are normally sold from the back of vans in car parks. I've seen the same thing with 'used' Solar Batteries and Inverters.

If I wanted a laptop, would I buy a cheap low performance old one, not knowing where it came from or how old a spec it was?

No,.... I would buy a new one that performed well.

For any Solar system to be cost effective and a sensible investment, all the equipment should last 15-25 years. There is no point trying to cut corners by saving money on secondhand stuff.

Secondhand furniture or bits & pieces,... no problem.

But anything this 'technical',.......???

Thanks Owl . You work for kibsolar . So I suggest you don't buy any used panels from SOLAR SOLUTIONS CYPRUS. If you have anything constructive to say or questions you want answering feel free. Knocking other company's just makes you look bad .

I don't work for anyone in N Cyprus. I discuss restaurants, wine deals, car hire, Solar,.. Life, The Universe etc.

I may have 'likes & dislikes' as everyone else has. If any business gives good, bad or expensive service I'll comment.

this is a forum.
we never attack you personally (or as a company) we only ask questions..questions other forum members might not have.. because they lack knowledge...
point is very easy:
- we know the Enfoton owners since 2004, they closed in late 2012/2013
- 175Wp panels production ended in, i believe, approx 2008, these panels are minimum 6 years old
why you do not say anything about that? we offered you to calculate the approx output of these panels...
So, we will enlighten our forum members.
- if the panels have seen the sun for some years, the rating of the panels is down to approx 165 to 160 Wp, which would be in need to be verified..So, we come to a Wp price of 60 to 62 eurocent, not 57 cent, plus VAT.
- the "best years" of these panels are over.
- as these panels are "50 cell" modules (?), it will be difficult for "the normal" customer to integrate them into existing systems or design new systems with them.

Competition: we have some older, but new Enfoton panels in stock for good prices.

As I said in other posts we don't debate with other company's. Chill out kipsolar we don't open new shop in Famagusta till September until then people are able to cross border and see us

I remember you saying a few months ago you were planning to open a branch in N Cyprus.

Good to see you still plan to. All competition is good for consumers and it will allow you to sell goods and services LEGALLY in N Cyprus.

I am purely, as many others here are, a satisfied customer who has had excellent technical advice, top-flight equipment, service (pre and post sale) and very good prices.

Solar is a major investment for most customers, best to get it right!

These two companies should work closer together to get panels on peoples houses.
As more people talk about their setup, more will be convinced to follow.
TRNC is bit enough for two companies.
I'm not saying they should join together, a bit of friendly rivalry is ok. But slagging each other off just makes both look bad.

Then a large company will come in and undercut them both.

AFAIK, Kibsolar have no problem with healthy Legal competition.

Solarsolutionscyprus are currently based in the ROC, this means any products or services they try to provide in NC will be deemed as illegal, possibly leaving the NC customer to pick up the bill or have legal action taken against them by Kibtek or the Government, maybe to the point of having their installation removed.

Solarsolutions have indicated they are planning a legal NC business in Famagusta, serving NC.

If/when this happens, then we will have more healthy (legal) competition.

Until then,.... Caveat Emptor!

Anyway, i mentioned here: we have companies in the TRNC offering chinese solar equipment.
Actually, we have several companies who offer solar equipment in the TRNC.
eg, Ecofree, Karakum.... posted here as well.
at least one more guy in kyrenia, five in nicosia, two in famagusta, one close to Ercan.
We know them all.
Competition? to my belief we have a " sufficient situation" already.
Crap, lies.. good and best quality.. all is available.
We, kibsolar, are "only" the company with the longest history.
We believe the only company with a longer history is... Savco, south cyprus.
Sells quality only.
