There's a discussion on the forum here which is quite informative.

Member 'kibsolar1999' seems to be well informed and proficient, as regards supplying and fitting, by all accounts.

Alternatively, TRNCVaughan is also a supporter of solar pool pumps - 0533 845 8494 - [email protected] .

i used peter at kibsolar. they did a very professional job, the cost it not too cheap (over 2K pounds total) but in reality you get a quality system that does not touch the mains electric. it will pay itself back in about 4.5 years but that could get shorter if electricity prices rise. even on cloudy days the pump chugs along, on sunny days it works very strongly. the pool is crystal clear.

thanks oneillbox,
- a good part of the costs are installation and also the quality of the solar panels
so i guess that a pure chinese solar pool pump system will not be that much cheaper.
- we design the solar pool pump system to the needed circulation requirements of the pool and not to the "actual used "pump running times" of the old AC pump.
this usually leads to a cleaner pool and less chemical consumption.

- for all who are inetersted , pls contact us, also for grid feed systems (net metering) and others.
