Multimax alternative

Hello all.
Anyone have any opinions of different ISP's. Thinking of companies like Nethouse or Vodafone/Telsim.
Been with Multimax for 3 years but price is getting a bit much these days.
Having said that, always had good service from them.
If anyone has experience of others could you let me know what package you are using, 5mb/s, 10mb/s etc, and what the streaming is like.
Many thanks in advance.

I cannot argue about the price BUT some of the cheaper options barely offer you enough speed to watch TV with any degree of reliability. MM depending on what package you have give a guarantee of a minimum of 4mbps and to be fair seldom drops below that. OK last night was different but that was no doubt due to weather conditions and beyond the control of any of the providers.

I too would be interested to find out what speed and reliability others are getting. Price certainly isn't the only consideration and cheap often is cheap for a reason.

Thanks for the response Chris.
I agree that often things are cheap for a reason. Just wondering if the cheaper options would be sufficient for our needs.
We mainly download programs to watch later with only occasional streaming.
Maybe 10mb/s or even 5mb/s would be ok for downloading but not streaming too much.
Our current Multimax package is the Gold so only 2mb/s guaranteed I believe.

My post from May 2019:
In Karsiyaka, with Nethouse I get 15 - 20 Mbps consistently all day with their Net 8Mbit package at 1290TL per year.

Thanks paul90. Sorry must have missed your previous post when searching forum.
Nethouse appear to have changed their packages now to 5mb/s @ 990TL and 10mb/s @ 1350TL.
Based on your experience, it'd be interesting to know if the 5mb/s would be ok for reasonable download speed with occasional streaming.
Slightly worried about paying a year in advance then being stuck with a too slow speed.
Anyone on a 5mb/s package?

With Net house you can up or lower your pack when you want and turn off and on i have 10 meg it works great on all i did have 15 but they said i did not need it and lengthened my package to an extra 6 months witch i thought was very good of them . Far as i am concerned much better than MM witch i used to have . There service is also very good

Thank you gates. Good to know you can change packages with Nethouse if you need. Think I'll try their 5mb/s package and up it to 10 if not good enough. May be sufficient for our needs. Worth a try at 990TL for the year...
I think Laconic in Alsancak deal with Nethouse products so will pop in.
Cheers.

Cannot offer comparisons as I've only used Nethouse (since 2015), but a 5MB package has served us well. As swallows, in all our visits we've only had (as far as i can recall) two occasions when wifi was down - for about 30 - 60 minutes!
Laconic (Alsancak) can set you up, and if you want to turn it on/off, you can just phone Laconic - I phone from UK just before I come so that it's on ready for me on arrival.

Thanks jofra.
Good information about the 5mbps package, think it'll be enough for us.
Thanks for confirming Laconic deal with Nethouse products, will pop in there later and try to sort it.
Hopefully they won't need too much notice to install as be good to get it up and running Monday.
Cheers.
