Re: How to Increase Wi Fi Speed
Navek, how efficient would that be in the TRNC with limited internet ie 10Mb? I am guessing if getting only 7Mb via wifi it will push to 10Mb.

Speeds in your home are seldom the issue, the speed from your ISP to Turkey and TTNet to the rest of the internet is...

How to Increase Wi Fi Speed
Hi Sonner,
Unfortunately, in the video, there was not a test done on a wired PC/Laptop.
The only way your question could be answered, is by testing the wired PC/Laptop first,
set up the TaoTronics Mesh WiFi Router system, then do a WiFi speed test from it.
The TaoTronics Mesh WiFi Router system is for boosting the WiFi signal in Dead Zones within your Home Network.
Most of the houses in TRNC have interior brick built walls and concrete floors, if you have upstairs rooms, not good for WiFi signals.
Other options would be to use extra wired Routers, where WiFi signal is bad.
TaoTronics Mesh WiFi Router system also has USB 3, handy for sharing TV, Movies, Music etc on your home network!
If someone who has already installed a similar system, they could leave a comment?
re speeds on PC/Laptop v WiFi speeds, that would help.

Thanks. Maybe one day we'll get high speed internet in TRNC. Not holding my breath though.Navek wrote: ↑Fri 20 Nov 2020 8:59 amHi Sonner,

Re: How to Increase Wi Fi Speed
Soner,
There is no way any router/repeater/extender enhancement can increase the speed your ISP provides to your modem.... 'you can't get a quart out of a pint pot'.... but if you have wifi connectivity issues in-home relating to the speed your ISP is providing not being realised on wifi connected devices due to the topography of your layout.... remembering that reinforced concrete the common house building system here, is a bit like Faraday Cage, then to boost speeds inside your property such a system could resolve such issues. What it won't do is increase the speed your ISP is providing to your modem.

Thanks Groucho, thought as much. Have had extenders around house for over 5 years, which helps connectivity in all rooms. What has been advertised does pretty much the same thing.
