I have recently bought a new router from my ISP. Tp-link TL-WR940N 450 Mbps . However the average speed from router to tablet, phone or tablet is only 54Mbps. The signal often drops when using my tablet on my terrace 10m away and I have to take it back to the router to reconnect. The coverage is not great!
I am looking to buy another router TP-Link C80 AC1900 MU-MIMO Dual Band with WiFi speed of 1300 Mbps.
Will I notice the difference with this router?

If your tablet, phone or tablet are 5g their is a difference. I have a booster in the lounge and it is also 2. 4 and 5g.

No my phone & tablet is not 5g. Are you saying therefore that it's not really worth the extra expense of a new router?

I have a Samsung s10 plus phone & Samsung S5e so I'm assuming not 5g

With the information you have given Samsung s10 plus phone & Samsung S5e tablet, your phone appears and tablet are both dual band.

cost = 625 TL

We bought a Xiaomi Mi router from Sharaf and it only cost 140tl. It has 4 antenna and high transfer speeds.

Could you tell me where sharaf are located I need to update my router and it sounds a hood deal

I should point out that Sharaf is an electrical shop, with branches in Catalkoy, Lefkosa and Famagusta

Ok. Thanks. Still roughly same price as the UK so not too bad .

Just AS a thought. Bypassed the router and hardwired it straight into the TV for firestick. Still buffering. Does that mean whatever router I get it will make no difference at all. Presume it's a band width issue
