Government medical insurance
Morning All. Can anybody out there please let us have their views re is it worth taking out the Government Medical Insurance if one has the 5 year exemption. The more I read it I am at wits end about is it worth it or not. Look forward to your views/comments about it. Thanks Tanky

Re: Government medical insurance
I gather anyone who shows exemption gets 30% off the bill anyway.
The question I would ask myself do I use the state hospital system at the moment?

Can’t resist this latest rumor! Don’t forget that it is totally UN verified and as far as I am concerned IT’S A RUMOR!!!
The government is looking at wanting to see £35K in savings in the bank if you are a house owner and applying for residency, the amount in savings for renters is £75K in the bank! Shock, horror, unbelievable, what is the country coming to?
Keep it in mind when you decide to go for Government medical insurance - lol. Personally I think there may be some truth in it BUT only for new renters/purchasers, it would be a good way to totally kill the house sales market whilst stopping all those nasty, rich, foreigners from coming here to earn huge wages and just rent!
And it’s not even April 1st yet!….

No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

Waddo. What has the health insurance got to do with the housing market? Also I do not understand where you are coming from re the banking bit. Am I missing something here? Tanky
