Has anyone had a pace maker fitted if so what hospital and an idea of cost.

Had mine fitted 3 years ago in UK but have it checked here annually. Have been told battery (whole unit) will need replacing in three years. I asked the cardio doc at Near East Hospital how much and was told 50,000 TL. Although free to me in the UK the doc there said the pacemaker itself without medical fitting fees cost £20,000 as it is a pacemaker and a defibrillator. .
