Warning: Swimming pools wreak havoc on your thyroid & general health!

I just wanted to warn you guys & your loved ones about never ever putting a finger in a swimming pool disinfected with chlorine. The same goes for fluoride toothpastes too.

The problem is that these two basically replace iodine which is an essential element for proper thyroid function and cause hypothyroidsm which cause a myriad of problems in itself. Avoid chlorine and fluoride at all cost!

I am not a doctor but I advise having a "lugol's tincture" prepared in your pharmacy (tören pharmacy in Kyrenia made it nicely for me) and take 2 drops with water, etc. every day for your thyroid & general health.

Fruit and vegetables often contain chlorates above recommended levels. Fluoride in tap water?
My BS counter is flashing on this one.

I'm no expert on thyroid problems, generally I've found them to be prevalent in people who enjoy consuming 18 pie and chips a day. They nearly always suffer from thyroid problems or a slow acting thyroid which explains the unaccounted weight gain.

As there are serious concerns regarding depletion of the ozone layer in the atmosphere, is there also some form available that could be obtained to mitigate that problem?

umm I've provided you guys with the links... you can have a look. It is not whack science.

To my understanding, chilling once in a while in the pool would not be an issue but if you start to spend a lot of time and use tap water which is heavily chlorinated + brush your teeth three times a day with a fluoride toothpaste and use a mouthwash, that would be a problem. Particularly, for children.

Even so, you can supplement with "lugol's solution" to mitigate the problem. I'd recommend it to supplement it anyway because almost everyone is deficient in idodine.

P.S. Regarding ozone, you should speak to SIBA, I guess. I don't have a pool... *sigh*

Chlorinated swimming pools are also causing asthma in children, so im told by the medical professionals as well as many other problems.

There are many many side effects with chlorine but until there's a cheap alternative people will not care, cheap is what the majority of people are looking for sadly and health comes second, or so it appears

How did I guess, Wrong information, poisonous ill-informed spew(

ZC does not need Chlorine, don't give people the wrong information.

ZC only needs potassium monopersulphate which is used as the Oxidiser to give an extra sparkle to the water.

Of course, if you're a Cheapskate you will find a cheaper way to oxidise your water and some might use 5% chlorine, thats 5% of the actual amount they used before they started using ZC. That 5%, by the way, won't show up on any pool chemical test, but its still chlorine!
Personally I would only use potassium monopersulphate which is the correct way and not cutting corners.

Also using Chlorine to oxidise if using ZC can or will turn parts of your pool edgings green as it oxidises the copper in ZC, this is why I like to use potassium monopersulphate which is the correct chemical for use with ZC

When I stopped using the product some years ago I tried to find out the precise formulation and was told that it was commercial secret so that worried me.

The information wasn't forthcoming when I asked for it years ago... I know because I did ask. The thread's OP could come under "Misinformation is dangerous on a forum. " It sounds too strident to me... pseudo science mixed in with some dubious sources, quoted that don't appear in the normal medical journals like the BMJ and The Lancet.
