Covid jab

Just had our covid jab at Girne main hospital. The location is at the back, on the left in the carpark, there is a security guard at the door. What l did notice a lot of the Turkish Cypriots who had not registered got a number and had to wait for a space but you have to be there by 08.00. The ones who had registered were on a list that was by the hour. All you need is your passport with the residency stamp. After the jab you are given a vacation card with the label off the covid bottle and a date for your second jab. Hope this is of some help.

Thanks for the info Karmels. We registered on line last week, waiting to be called now. Were you called in or did you just go down and wait? If so, how long did you wait.

mrsgee we registered online and received a phone call from the health ministry on Monday morning giving us a appointment at 12.00 on Tuesday. Going for our jab found out we were not on the list. Phoned the health ministry they gave us another for 09.00 today which all went fine. We are in the 70 to 80 bracket.

Applied on the 18th of Jan but nothing as yet - some get it quicker but don't know why. There is a link I posted on another thread, will copy it for you.

https://asi.covid19.saglik.gov.ct.tr/
Just fill it in and wait.

What is the the number to call to check if someone is in the system. My UK neighbour is pushing 80, filled in the form and has heard nothing. However she went on the off chance for 8am today, there were people who had appointments and had been there since 7am, doors opened after 8.30ish when lists were stuck on the door. It looked like 30 people every hour. When lists were posted, people were handed a number, provided their name was somewhere on the typewritten list. What concerns my neighbour was that a lot of the people appeared to be in their 60's and well under (all were local). A means of checking would be useful.

Read tonight that Girne State have stopped vaccinations due Covid outbreak there! Those in the East have to go to Esentepe Medical Centre when called - can’t see many calls happening to anyone not from Esentepe for a while - lol. I think those in the West go to Lapta but not sure, worth a look see if you live that way. Take care, stay safe people!

Yes it does say that those West go to Lapta clinic but 'with an appointment '?

Also I did put a compliment on here for your help to others but it seems to have disappeared?

Out of interest - Has anyone actually gone either East or West and been successful with getting a Covid jab since they stopped giving them at the Girne Hospital. Still no call for me and that is now 12 days and counting.

Sorry, I don't know if there is an English version, my Mac converts to English from Turkish automatically, but I will look for you if Google Translate is not doing the same for you.

It is automatically translated for me with Google.

Can not find an English version for you, others may be able to help. Have you translated the main questions - isim = name etc, etc so you know what it is you are being asked for. A common fail when it started was in DOB input which kept coming up with NAN/NAN/NAN if it does that then just overtype NAN/NAN/NAN with your birthdate (14/06/1900) and that should work.

When you put in your passport number make sure it's the same as your residency permit. (No GBR in front)

I was unsure what to put in the form when it asked for identity number so put GBP P and then the number. It must have gone through as i tried as someone said to do it again and got a message saying the details were already accepted. That was over a week ago and not heard anything as yet. Will leave it another few days and do it again with just the passport number if i have not heard by then.

Seen on the news today that vaccinations will start again in Kyrenia - in the old municipality building - on Monday by appointment. There are also vaccinations in Lapta as normal. Don’t shoot the messenger if it don’t happen, just passing on the news!

It was in Yeniduzen Duzen but has since been overtaken by other news reports and I can’t find it now - curses!

Apparently to take the pressure off the Girne hospital, vaccinations are going to be done in the old municipal building?

Still haven't had my residency application accepted, therefore no stamp.
However I am fully prepared to have a jab at a private hospital, but don't know which of them to approach.
Does anyone know of a hospital in the Girne area that can provide a private vaccination?

Having problems filling the online form in. Getting a red error message that roughly translates as "more before this kimlik number". My understanding is I just put in my residency number which is my passport number entered without th GB preceeding it, thanks for any help!

Just got back from there. Went at 09.00 they were handing tickets out, we got 79 and 80, went in about 10.50 pretty well organised really. No appointment this morning.

We went yesterday 11.00, out again at 12.20, that included the 15 minutes sit down. Very efficient really. Didn't see anyone with an appointment, security guard at the door giving out tickets. No questions asked, just gave us tickets. Next jab in four weeks at the same place. Gave up waiting for the phone call after almost two weeks. Municipal building in Girne.

They just wrote the date 2 March on our card and said to come back to same place. Guess the same procedure, ticket issued and wait, although as it is the second jab, I would think they would give some sort of priority, maybe.

On Monday, the Belediye in Dipkarpaz announced on FB that Covid19 vaccinations will be done on Tuesday, 2.2.2021 from 8.30
We had applied online, but our neighbour offered to take us as he was going. He is one of the few people we have contact with.
When we go there at 9.30, there was no queue, we walked straight in. They asked for passports, noted the details in a large book, gave us a card each with the details and another appointment on 2.3.21, then to the doctor/nurse.
All finished in a few minutes, sat outside for 15 mins as advised, then to one market and home well before 11 o'clock!!!

Went into Girne this morning with Police permission to have our injection. Nice and early there by 7.30 to be told no injections today at all. No reason given. Even if it was because of the full lock down that doesn;t come into effect until 8 tonight seems daft as the more they vaccinate the better it is for the situation.

I rang the belidere number for vaccine, they told me to apply via government web site which I have already done. Explained this and they said apply again but it refused the second one so I changed the number to include GBR which was accepted.
Belidere sent a message to say if I don't get anything in a week to contact them again.

We went to Lapta on Thursday and signed up. Name, DOB and local telephone number. They called us 2 hours later and gave us an apointment for yesterday. We had our jabs yesterday. Painless! Take your passport with you. They are however only taking people who are over 65. I saw many people turned away because of their age. Many Brits tried to get them to change their mind, but the official stuck to 65! One lady(over 65) who was with a friend (who was under 65), tried to sneak back when the official was not looking and tried to enter her friends name. He pounced and said no sorry, your friend must wait! It was quite funny really.
