Although if you need to transit different areas you have to have a PCR test, due to the rapid rise in the number of infections,PCR testing has been suspended.

I thought the suspension was because the test centres are overwhelmed and can't cope.
At least that's what Kibris and Kibris Postasi are saying.

You also now need permission to travel anywhere other than your local shop according to the latest from the BRS.

Yes CS, it would appear to be a 24 hour curfew with virtually immediate effect. No time frame. Keep safe, everyone.

Its because those in the sectors that are allowed to remain open must have a PCR test every 7 days if they live in one district and work in another. I live in Girne but work in Lefkoşa therefore I need one to work, I'm currently working from home.

When I showed the latest missive from BRS to my pharmacist, she said some of the translation is misleading. The 24 hour curfew refers from 5.30pm on Friday to Monday morning. The BRS gives the impression it is a continual 24 hour curfew. (or at least how I read it) She then showed me the continual messages she receives on her PC and her's certainly said Saturday and Sunday. Toss a coin.

You can apply for permission online: https://permissions.gov.ct.tr/street
I have tried 5 times but keep getting rejected, even to collect money to buy food. Went to local Police Station and they said that permissions are only being given out for Hospital appointments that are in another district.

Soner, like you I'm going round in circles. I need some tablets urgently but obviously Pharmacist can't supply until I obtain a Drs. prescription. I want to go to a Dr asap tomorrow, the nearest being Lapta (not my regular Dr but certainly the closest) I'm going on to address you gave and hope for the best. If they turn me down, not sure what I do then.

If rejected, then go and see your Kaymakan to get permission.

We managed to get permission yesterday to travel into Girne from Catalkoy today for vaccine injections. Mind you when we got there we were told they were cancelled. No reason given.

Soner, went to another Pharmacist this morning. Explained what prescription I needed and why, and was, thankfully, supplied with them immediately. Phew!!
