I am new at table tennis, I'd like to increase the diameter of my paddle a little by putting some sort of grip on there.
Searching about paddles and some tips for beginners on this page. What are people using? (I thought about bicycle handlebar tape, which would be a nice feel, but I think it would lose adhesive quickly from the salt water.)

Have you thought of lacing the handle, criss-cross fashion?

That would increase the diameter of the handle and also improve the grip.

Whipping, with thing cord is the best bet.
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.
